Improving Lives Through Compassion and Support
At The-Oasis C.I.C., we are dedicated to eradicating loneliness, isolation, and mental health issues exacerbated by COVID and other triggers. Our mission is to provide a safe space for individuals of all to find solace and support.
Friendship Group -
Every Friday afternoon
2-4pm
We run a friendship group every Friday afternoon from 14:00 - 16:00 at the Briercliffe Scout Hut, Off Gilbert St, Briercliffe, BB10 2EN
This group is open to everyone including familes (children of ALL ages are welcome)
Fun, games, activities, make new friends, have a laugh with likeminded people.
Drinks, small snacks and all activities are included in the entry for of £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for children and U5s go free. We also offer light bites for a small extra cost (please request menu).
However, between 24/08/2026 and 12/03/2027 entry is FREE due to The Eric Wright Fund kindly providing funding to us. There will also be basic food available and drinks are still included.
Family Support Groups
The-Oasis C.I.C. provides friendly, compassionate and practical support for families who may be experiencing difficult or challenging times.
We offer a safe, non-judgemental space where families can talk, feel heard and receive support tailored to their individual needs. Our service focuses on improving wellbeing, building confidence, reducing isolation and helping families overcome challenges.
Where additional help is needed, we can also support families to access appropriate local services and organisations.
At The-Oasis, our aim is simple: to support families, strengthen connections and help people move towards a happier, more positive future.
Sessions are at:
Gannow Community centre, BB12 6RB on Mondays 2:30-5:30 pm
The Scout Hut, Harle Syke, BB10 2EN on Fridays 5-8 pm
